Literally and figuratively, Mary Anne Carter wears many hats. In accordance with her strict No Boredom policy, the Seattle-based artist, designer and creative strategist structures her day around costume changes and her portfolio around creative solutions that defy stagnancy and limitation. Whether she is hanging dozens of hand screen-printed satin underwear on balloons for an installation of her own or cultivating opportunities for fellow artists through Handmade Markets and much buzzed about gallery shows, art is at the foundation of all of Mary Anne Carter's work. Her screen printed broadsides, illustrations, and textiles have been featured in spaces throughout Seattle, WA and in publications including The Stranger, City Arts Magazine, and The Poetry Foundation. She recently won Second Place in City Arts' Summer Art Walk Awards.
